Trigger Point
This involves deactivating trigger points (sometimes referred to as “knots”) that may cause local pain or refer pain and other sensations, such as headaches, in other parts of the body. Trigger Point therapy is done by diffusing a trigger point, through static compression (pressure) being applied for 10 seconds, released, then pressure applied for 10 more seconds for a pumping effect while the client breathes deeply. This action decreases the size of the knot, flushes toxins and calms the nerves. Releasing these points can release endorphins which can result in elimination of discomfort as well as leaving you with a feeling of being energized.
